Traditional Metal Braces
Your ideal smile is more than just straight teeth. Well-aligned teeth are easier to clean and maintain, reducing the risk of tooth decay, gum disease and even tooth loss. When your teeth are perfectly aligned, they fit together better to minimize wear on enamel. Traditional braces are silver-colored and highly durable. Treatment time with traditional braces is usually 18 to 24 months.
Clear Braces
Clear braces have the same components as traditional braces, except the brackets are clear. They are made of ceramic or high-grade plastic and provide the same function as traditional braces with a heightened aesthetic appeal. Clear brackets present a less noticeable alternative to metal. Clear braces are used for the upper teeth in cases where the complexity of treatment is minimal.
